Bishop Edward King Chapel
Film is the viewing of images through light. Architecture is the interplay of built form in light. Can an Architectural Film present images of wood, light and stone that shape our religious and spiritual life?
Níall McLaughlin Architects were commissioned to design a new chapel for Ripon Theological College in Cuddesdon, after winning an RIBA competition in 2009. The clients for the project were the college itself and a small community of nuns resident on the site, the Sisters of Begbroke. The Bishop Edward King Chapel was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize after completion in 2013.
